Near 999
999 Teen Patti
999 Teen Patti on First Games is the three-card table where the three ranks add toward a target of 999, and the closest total wins, not a trail-to-high-card ladder. Colour is not a rank group here. Indian card players who sit 999 and wait to show a flush donate to a 9-9-9 that they thought was only a trail. This page is how the three ranks add, why colour does not count as a group, and how that differs from trail-to-high-card ranking.
What this play is
999 keeps a three-card deal, a boot, and pack or show, then throws away the six-group ladder for a number. Each card prints a value, three values add, and the sum closest to 999 wins at show. Some rooms map ace as 1 or as 11 or as 9; the help line on this tile is the map. Face cards may count 10 or 0 or 9. You must read that map before you chaal. You still do not discard. You still do not declare rummy. A 9-9-9 is beautiful because it totals a high 27 or a mapped 999 if the room concatenates digits rather than adding; First Games prints whether this room adds or concatenates. This page explains both so you look at the badge.
What the table shows
The felt shows three cards, a running total badge on your row after Seen, a pot, Pack, Blind, Seen, Chaal, Show. A 999 target sits in the header. There is no colour highlight that means you are winning. Priya in Bhopal watches the total badge, not the suits. The room card prints the boot, seats, and the value map: add versus concatenate, ace value, face value. If the badge still lists trail and colour, you sat classic. If Lowest Wins is on, you sat Muflis. The number 999 in the title is the target, not a rummy points cap from another game.
How you win this round
Hold the three-card total closest to 999 at show, or make others pack. If the room concatenates, 9-9-9 is the exact target and wins outright. If the room adds with nines as 9, three nines total 27, which only wins if 27 is the closest legal total the map allows, so that room is probably concatenating or using a 9-9-9 pattern as a named max. Read the map. Do not assume. Winning is the pot. You do not win extra for landing exact 999 unless the help line says exact is a named top. Usually closest wins, ties split or follow the printed tie line.
How a round starts
Pay the boot the room card prints. Read the value map. Receive three. Blind is extra dark on this tile because you cannot add what you have not seen. Many Indian players peek at once. Action left of dealer. Do not start by ranking a colour. Do not start by ranking a trail unless the map happens to make three of a kind a good total. The start is boot, map, three values, first tap.
Legal moves — and one that is not
Legal play is pack, chaal, show. Legal ranking is the mapped total, not groups. Holding 9-9-8 is legal and strong on a concatenate room that reads 998, one away from 999. Holding A-2-3 of hearts is legal and often weak, because colour does not score and the total may be 6. Showing two totals is legal when two remain. Packing a pretty flush with a low total is legal and correct. You do not assign values yourself; the badge prints them.
Demanding that colour beat a pair is not legal here; colour is not a group. Demanding that a trail beat a 998 concatenate is not legal if 998 is closer to 999 than 777. Playing Muflis low totals on a closest-to-999 room is backwards if high mapped totals win. Playing classic groups is the usual illegal-feeling habit. Do not concatenate in your head if the badge says add. Do not add if the badge shows three digits in a row. Do not invent the map. Do not invent the boot.
How this round ends
Packs or a two-player show end it. At show both totals print, distances to 999 print, and the closer total takes the pot. Then a new boot from the room card, new three cards, same map unless the room card says the map flips, which it should not. Finish does not restore trail-colour-pair. If you hop to the hub tile, groups are back. If you hop to Muflis, lowest group wins, which is another different arrow.
How the money is counted
The pot is boots plus chaals plus show costs. Being one away from 999 does not pay a bonus multiplier. Exact 999 takes the pot, not a jackpot, unless the room card prints a named extra, which this page does not invent. Bhopal story rupees below are fictional. The room card prints the boot. There is no leftover rummy math. There is no spin return figure. Packing a flush on street one costs only what you already put in, which is cheap if that flush totalled 12.
If you leave early or miss the tap
Timer pack applies. The 999 penalty is showing a colour you loved while the other hand prints 999. First Games will not score that colour as a group. A missed tap packs you. Leaving is a pack. Read the total badge before Show. No appeal sits here.
Buttons on this screen
- Total badge — Prints your mapped three-card number after Seen. Compare this to 999, not to trail or colour.
- Value map — Ace, face, and add-versus-concatenate rules. Rank nothing until this map is visible on the room.
- Pack — Leave low totals and pretty flushes that do not map near 999. Suits will not save you.
- Chaal — Stay with totals near the target. Pay the printed amount. Expect 9s to stay long.
- Show — Opens two totals and their distances to 999. Pay the printed show cost. Closer number takes the pot.
How to open it in First Games
- Open the Telegram channel t.me/cocorummy and download the APK posted there. Do not use a random file from search.
- Install on Android and finish mobile OTP.
- On the Skill tab tap 999 Teen Patti, read the value map, then read the boot on the room card.
Do not mix this up with Trail-to-high-card ranking
Trail-to-high-card ranking is classic Teen Patti: trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, high card. 999 ranking is a mapped number closest to 999. A trail of twos that crushes classic may be a terrible total. A rainbow 9-9-9 that is 'only a trail' on classic is the dream here if the map concatenates to 999. Colour, the fourth classic group, does not exist as a group on this tile. If you sit classic, rank groups. If you sit 999, add or concatenate per the badge. Muflis reverses groups; it still uses groups. 999 leaves the group list. Do not carry colour pride onto this felt.
One round, start to finish
Priya sits five-handed in Bhopal. The room card prints the boot and a concatenate map: the three ranks line up as a three-digit number, ace counts as 1, faces count as 0, nines as 9, and the closest to 999 wins. Five boots start the pot. She taps Seen: 9 of hearts, 9 of clubs, 8 of spades, which prints 998. She chaals, story money of eighty rupees. Two players pack colour 2-7-K hearts, which would have been a classic stay and here prints a junk number. One player stays with 9-9-7, which prints 997. Two remain. Show costs the printed line, story money of eighty rupees. 998 is closer to 999 than 997. Priya takes the pot. She did not have a trail of nines, she had 998. Next deal she packs A-K-Q of diamonds, a classic pure sequence that concatenates to 100 or 190 depending on faces as 0, far from 999. The flush was nothing.
How three ranks add toward 999
Two mappings exist on Indian 999 tiles. Concatenate: line the three ranks high-to-low as a three-digit number, so 9-9-8 becomes 998, 9-7-0-face becomes 970, and 9-9-9 is exact. Add: convert each rank to a value and sum, which only makes sense toward 999 if values are hundreds, so some rooms treat 9 as 900, 8 as 80, 7 as 7, which is concatenate by another name. A true small-sum room would target 9 or 21, not 999, so if you see a tiny total badge, you sat the wrong number game. On First Games 999, read whether the badge shows a three-digit figure. Order the ranks as the client orders them, usually highest digit first. You do not get to arrange 8-9-9 as 989 if the client sorts 998. Believe the total badge, not your preferred order.
Why colour is not a rank here
Colour is a classic group meaning three of one suit that do not run. 999 does not pay groups. Three hearts that total 12 or concatenate to 742 lose to three mixed nines. Keeping a flush because it looks like Teen Patti is the donation this tile punishes. Pure sequence is also not a group here; 7-8-9 of clubs is only the number 789, which is farther from 999 than 997 rainbow. Trail is not a group either, except that three 9s happen to be both a trail and the best 999. That overlap is coincidence. Score the number. If you want colour to matter, sit the hub tile. If you want lowest group, sit Muflis. If you want 999, ignore suits except as pretty ink that does not pay.
Does a trail win on 999?
Only if that trail maps closer to 999 than the other total. Three 9s are strong because of the number, not because trail sits at the top of classic.
Does colour count?
No. Colour is not a rank group on this tile. Three of one suit with a low total still lose to a closer number.
How is this different from trail-to-high-card ranking?
Classic pays groups from trail down to high card. 999 pays the mapped number closest to 999. Same three cards, different test at show.
Who may sit 999 Teen Patti on First Games?
Players aged 18 and over, where local law allows. A missed timer packs you. A pretty flush is not a refund when the total was far from 999.
