The problem
You play Joy like Joyrummy and look for thirteen cards, a closed pile, and a declare, so showdown never makes sense in that frame because you opened the three-card game. The pot climbs while you wait for a discard that will not arrive. That wait is the stuck point, not a missing Joy bonus.
You then show a high-card hand into a raiser because Joy in the name feels friendly, but friendly does not beat a pair. The showdown still uses the same ranks as any Teen Patti tile, trail down to high card, and Joy will not soften a weak open. It will print both hands and take the pot.
People also tap declare at showdown because they use that word at night on rummy, but declare checks a 13-card grouping while showdown compares two three-card ranks. Pressing the rummy word into Joy is how a beginner thinks the table rejected a legal hand. The table was asking for a show, not a grouping.
Colour still means a three-card flush on Joy, and if you treat it as a rummy suit you are building you will hold junk hoping for a fourth heart, but there is no fourth heart. Showdown will rank the three you have. Packing colour too early or showing high card too late both come from that rummy hangover.
Joyrummy and Joy Rummy sit in the same search, and leaving Teen Patti Joy mid-hand to find them dumps a live pot. If you wanted how to play rummy, pack or finish this showdown first, then open the 13-card tile. Mixing the two Joys in one sitting is how showdowns feel random.
Do this
1. Confirm you hold three cards: if you hold thirteen you are on Joyrummy or another rummy seat, so sort, make a pure sequence with no joker in that run, then declare. If you hold three, stay, because betting will go around, pack leaves, chaal and raise feed the pot, and show starts the showdown. There is no discard pile on this Joy.
2. Name your rank before the first raise: trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, or high card, and colour is three of one suit that are not consecutive. If you cannot name the bucket, you are not ready to see a showdown, so pack if the stake jumps. Joy in the name is not a hint. The cards are.
3. When you tap show, both three-card hands open, and that is the showdown: higher Teen Patti rank wins, and tied ranks use the next card. This is not a rummy grouping check, and you cannot rearrange after the open, so what you held is what is compared. Do not tap twice hoping Joy will regroup it.
4. Pack if you cannot beat a pair and someone has been raising, because showing high card into that player is how Joy beginners donate. A pair can take a modest showdown, sequence and colour can stay if the pot has not exploded, and trail and pure sequence can show with a steady thumb. Strength first, then the tap.
5. Do not wait for a discard between bets, because Joyrummy uses a pile and Teen Patti Joy does not, so throwing a card here is not a legal action. If your fingers hunt an open pile, you are still in rummy in your head. Look back at the three cards, rank them again, then pack or show.
6. Keep the two Joy names on two jobs after this hand: how to play rummy is Joyrummy, thirteen cards, pure sequence, declare, and how to play this tile is three-card showdown. You may play both tonight. You may not play both with the same thumb motion, so finish one loop before you open the other tile.
7. If reels replace the cards, you left Joy for a spin, so stake, spin, stop, and a 777 on a reel is not a Joy showdown, so do not rank symbols as trail. If a bank screen appears, you opened SBI YONO, so close it. Ludo King is a token board and will not run this compare, so come back only to three cards.
8. After one showdown, say out loud which rank won, and if you can only say Joy felt unlucky you have not learned the open yet. Sit another three-card hand, rank, bet or pack, then show from a pair or better. The showdown is the lesson. The name is decoration.
Don't mix this up
Teen Patti Joy is not Joyrummy, not Ludo King, not bank YONO, and not a 777 spin. Joy here is three-card Teen Patti, and Joyrummy is 13-card rummy.
Showdown means show: both hands open, higher rank wins. It is not declare, because declare is how to play rummy on thirteen grouped cards.
Colour is a three-card flush rank on this tile, so do not wait for a fourth card as if you were still in rummy. Three is the full hand.
How to play rummy lives on the rummy Joy names. How to play this Joy is pack or show after you can name trail down to high card.
