What you are trying to finish

A sequence is three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive ranks. A pure sequence cannot use a joker. A set is three or four cards of the same rank in different suits. A valid declaration needs at least two sequences, and one of them must be pure. Leftover cards that are not in a set or sequence count against you.

Jokers

Printed jokers and a cut joker act as wild cards. They can complete a set or an impure sequence. They cannot stand in for the cards of a pure sequence. If you treat a joker as a regular rank by mistake, the app will reject the declaration.

Three table types

First Games lists Points, Deals, and Pool. The card rules stay the same; the way rupees are settled changes.

TableHow the round endsWho is paid
PointsFirst valid declareWinner collects leftover points × the table’s point value
DealsA fixed number of dealsHighest chip stack after the last deal
Pool 101 or 201Play continues until someone crosses the capLowest remaining points among players still in

Practice before cash

The app offers practice tables. Use them to learn the declare button and the pure-sequence check with no wallet at risk. Cash tables show entry fee, seats, and buy-in before you sit. Tournaments ask you to take a seat before start, then tap Take Seat when the event begins.

A simple order of operations

After the deal, sort by suit. Ask whether a pure sequence is already visible. If not, decide which suit is closest and pick toward that, even if a tempting set is sitting on the discard. Once the pure sequence is down, jokers become tools instead of insurance you are afraid to spend. Near the end of a Points round, leftover high cards (face cards especially) are expensive —dump them if they are not in a finished line.

Wrong declare and drop

A declare that fails the pure-sequence check is not “almost won.—The table applies the invalid-hand penalty printed there. Dropping, when the variant allows it, is a known cost, not a surprise fee. Read both numbers before you sit, the same way you read buy-in.

Skill, chance, and the law

First Games presents Rummy as a skill contest: you choose discards, protect a pure sequence, and manage points. The deal is still random. This website does not argue court cases or licences. Confirm that cash skill games are allowed where you live. See Games of skill and Skill games explained.

Can I declare without a pure sequence?

No. The hand is invalid. You want a pure sequence first, then a second sequence, then sets or extra sequences.
